BLM launches new consultancy practice
Insurance risk and commercial law firm, BLM has today launched BLM Consult, offering companies access to the expertise of its in-house business improvement (BI) team. BLM’s BI experts will work in conjunction with its IT and analytics professionals to support insurance and corporate organisations with their own change agendas.
Led by change expert and director of business services & improvement Adrian Spencer, BLM Consult offers companies the option to choose from ‘pick and mix’ packages. Services include Design and Innovation Workshops, Lean Process Mapping, Lean Training and Skills Support Packages.
The firm’s core business improvement team comprises lean process experts, operational managers and change professionals. Adrian is supported by Hannah Llywelyn-Davies, a functioning Black Belt business process expert, John McPartland our business improvement manager and Baljinder Samrai an associate lawyer and business data manager.
Commenting on the development of BLM Consult, Adrian Spencer said:
“The complexity of client issues varies, as does their need for driving change throughout their organisations. From feedback received from clients, we know that many organisations have differing internal change capabilities; some have sophisticated teams in place whilst others require additional support. That’s why we created a ‘pick and mix’ option, offering one off interventions or more structured, formal consulting arrangements.”
Matthew Harrington, senior partner at BLM, said:
“We have spent over three years building and growing a business improvement offering and we’ve seen first-hand the benefits that well-managed change initiatives can have on a business. A key focus for our team has been innovation, implementation of technology and operational rigour, and having a positive change programme in place has allowed us to keep up with growing client demands on our business. We know that our internal change capability is something our clients will benefit from too.”
